Erik Spiekermann released a new typeface based on FF Meta that is ignoring any vowels entered, thus saving a lot of space and still maintaining readability.
You can still read this text:

FF Mt came out as an April Fools' Day joke, but now you can give it a try for free, because Erik released it to the public.
Working well with English, but if you try to use it in some Latin languages (Romanian, Spanish, Italian) you will lose meaning for most of the words.
Will this direction be the future of typography? Hard to tell, but FF Mt can have many applications from signage to phone books.
You can get FF Mt from Erik's website and go play with it.
